Hello out there...
Wanna hear about my last weekend? I will share it with you.
Friday I was on my way, visiting my youngest son, in the north of the country.
Bus, ferry, bus, bus and train. Not having a train ticket, gives you a fine at 750DKR. So of course I buy my ticket. On my smartphone.
Being kind of retired, I get a cut in the price - I get to buy the ticked cheaper. So I went visiting my son, and all was good.
- until the following day when I was heading back home.
I bought my ticket on my mobile, to avoid having to fumble with that at the train station. So far so good.
Now sitting in the train heading south, I talked with my oldest daughter on the phone, telling her I was going south.
A young man, sitting next to me, overheard my conversation, and told me, that if I was going south, I was on the wrong train. This train was going north.
So.. I made a plan to continue north, and then switch to the train going south.
And that's what I did.
On the south going train, a ticket checker lady, entered the train, asking for tickets.
Nice. I had my ticket.
Because of my 'retirement' - I am a pensionist - I buy 65-tickets, as we call them. They are cheaper.
The ticket checker lady asked for proof that I really was a pensionist, and I didn't have the proof she wanted.
She wanted ID with pass photo, and an annual tax return paper.
I have taken that train many, many times to visit my youngest son, and NEVER has the ticket checkers asked for proof.
I had another ID from the island where I live, with my name, my photo and a big P, which didn't mean Pokémon.
It meant Pensionist. But did the ticket lady care? No! I had a proof, but she wanted more proof.
She was tough and un-bribeable. So.. I ended up with a fine of 750DKR.
I was mad. I was mad. And I am not paying that fine. I complain via email.
Having taken the wrong train, I missed my ferry back to my island. Fortunately, all my 5 kids live on the mainland, where I was stuck.
So I ended up at my oldest daughters place for the night.
We had a good time, and since the mess I fell into that day, isn't exactly atypically for me, I generally live in the moment with my children, and I am a very Life-Loving person.
I can't wait to see the next mess I mess myself into...
